We're only two days into October and the kids and I have already had the ultimate pumpkin patch experience. We made the trek out to Underwood Farms in Moorpark which is truly the go to destination for families in SoCal pretending to celebrate autumn. I say "pretending," because it was about 90 degrees as we made our way through the patch and picked our pumpkins, which are typically melted by the 31st. Still, the kids still seemed to get the idea.
Now through Oct 31st, Underwood is celebrating its annual Fall Harvest Festival which means petting zoos, corn mazes, tractor rides, and every variety of pumpkin you can imagine. Weekends are jam packed with music, face painting, and activities while weekdays are quieter. Personally, my kids got a ton out of going on a Monday and I appreciated the lack of lines and crowds. There's a playground, toy tractors, trains, hayrides, fruit stands and even areas where you can pick your own veggies. Check out their calendar below for special activities going on this month.
