BabySpace Q&A: MMR Shot Side Effects
What's Your Question?:
My daughter went for her MMR Shot 2 days ago and the area is red and swollen! Should I be concerned?
It is not uncommon for the area of the injection site to be red or swollen. This can be due to a reaction from the vaccination or if your child's muscle was tense during the injection. Redness and swelling can last anywhere from 2-3 days and with some vaccinations (DTaP) even longer. If by the time you read this, the injection site is still red and swollen we would recommend contacting your pediatrician.
